Gulf Cartel Biography

The Gulf Cartel (Cártel del Golfo) is a notorious drug running organization based in Matamoros, in Tamaulipas, Mexico. Heavy operations also include the cities of Reynosa, Nuevo Laredo and now the DEA has seen some action as far as Los Santos. It is the second largest drug cartel in Mexico after the the rival Sinaloa cartel. The Gulf Cartel traffics a considerable amount of drugs across the Mexican border to major cities in the United States. The group is known for its violent methods and intimidation, and works closely with corrupt law officials and business people in Mexico to get their product across the border.



Once led by Juan Garcia Abrego, it is now believed to be under the leadership of Joaquin "El Chapo" Guzman. The group mostly traffics in drugs but is also said to traffic illeagle firearms through the black market. The Cartel distributes all over the U.S. as far north as Michigan, New York and all over California.

Juan Garcia Abrego is currently serving eleven life sentences in a U.S. jail for his drug trafficking.

Joaquin "El Chapo" Guzman, the supposed heir to Juan Garcia Abrego, is believed to be both the operations manager and chief hit man for the cartel. He was last seen crossing the border with his men into the U.S. at the Tijuana Borderline, he is believed to be armed and dangerous..........

Member Duties
All Members: ALWAYS respect higher ranks, if they tell you to do something its for the good of the organization, keep a low profile, be respectful to all people especially cops, if they fuck with you kill em' no questions, if you get arrested with drugs and or firearms you will be expected by the organization to keep your mouth shut, if you don't do it we'll shut it permanently.
Jefe de Jefes: Make sure everything is intact, close big drug/firearm deals, spread all contracts(hits) throughout the organization, order hits and kidnaps, keep a close eye on the enemy, make sure all drugs/firearms get to the customer fresh and in prestine order.
Jefe: Supervise the Coronell's actions, maintain order between corrupt officials and politics (if they fail to keep their word, kidnap them then bring them to the Jefe de Jefes to be prepared for execution, if they cannot be found their family and friends will be executed one by one untill he/she is found).
Coronell: Supervise the Capitan's, make sure all contracts are completed throughout the organisation, make sure everyone pays up.
Capitan: Supervise all Narco's and Mula's, make sure they do not get arrested (if they do, bail them out bring them to the Jefe de Jefes and he will decide what their future will be in the orgainization), complete contracts with little witnesses as possible.
Narco Trafficante: Collect materials to make drugs, smuggle materials/firearms to a specified location provided by the Capitan, assist the Capitan on contracts if needed, make and maintain drugs, hand drugs/firearms down to the Mula's, supervise the Mula's.
Mula: Deal drugs/firearms, keep friends close but enemies closer, never deal in enemy turf, kick 10 percent of what ever money you get up to the Coronell.
